Are you a Nicor and ComEd customer? You are eligible for rebates on new high-efficiency heating and cooling systems. The rebate program has been updated to add some special incentives for upgrading both your furnace and air conditioner.
The existing Nicor rebates for furnaces are still available:
- $200 rebate for furnaces 92% AFUEAnnual Fuel Utilization Rate. This measurement represents the ratio of heat transferred to the living space by the fuel source. and higher
- $250 rebate for furnaces 95% AFUEAnnual Fuel Utilization Rate. This measurement represents the ratio of heat transferred to the living space by the fuel source. and higher
A new option for the highest efficiency furnaces has been added, which is DOUBLE the existing rebate:
- $500 rebate for furnaces 97% AFUEAnnual Fuel Utilization Rate. This measurement represents the ratio of heat transferred to the living space by the fuel source. and higher
AND three rebates options for Nicor & ComEd customers for complete system replacement have been added:
- $600 rebate for 92% AFUEAnnual Fuel Utilization Rate. This measurement represents the ratio of heat transferred to the living space by the fuel source. furnace + 14.5 SEERSeasonal energy efficiency ratio. The cooling output in Btu during a typical cooling-season divided by the total electric energy input in watt-hours during the same period. The higher the unit's SEER rating the more energy efficient it is. air conditioner
- $650 rebate for 95% AFUEAnnual Fuel Utilization Rate. This measurement represents the ratio of heat transferred to the living space by the fuel source. furnace + 14.5 SEERSeasonal energy efficiency ratio.
